Technical Support Engineer

JOB TITLE: Technical Support Engineer
JOB TYPE: Full Time, Permanent
LOCATION: China – Beijing or Shanghai
REPORTING TO: Head of Beijing R&D
Main duties and responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support to our customers (mainly R&D teams or engineers in different industries) via on-site, phone and chat
  • Engage customers by visiting or responding to incoming calls and network-based inquiries to diagnose problems, troubleshoot customer issues, and find solutions to these issues
  • Regularly collaborate with R&D teams to produce creative solutions and improve customer satisfaction
  • Exceed customer expectations by providing premium customer service
  • Record customers interactions like feedback, investigation, troubleshooting, and potential requirements
  • Share your experience and findings by contributing to our product evolution
  • 5+ years of experience and expertise in technical support for software solution, tester experience is plus.
  • Experience as a supporter or development engineer on Linux/Windows, or a closely related experience
  • Experience with software or service solution in SDLC (software development life cycle), especially in verify/release/respond
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or a related technical field
  • Knowledge in procedural, object-oriented, and scripted programming languages such as Java, C, C++, JS and Python
  • Knowledge in SDLC and related software or solution
  • Knowledge in build system, development toolchain, coding and debugging
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Mandarin. Good language skills in English
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills, passion for problem-solving and investigation
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely to customers with various levels of technical experience

REPORTING TO: Head of Sales
  • Selling XCalibyte software solutions directly into Chinese enterprise customers in Finance, IOT, Automotive, and other leading industries.
  • Collaborating and participating in joint visits, training and supporting software security distribution partners and their sales teams.
  • Working closely with the customer, their sales teams, and their customers so as to understand their requirements and provide useful feedback.
  • Identifying new customers, developing key customer relationships, and leading pitches to deal closure.
  • Working with the customer to develop key account management plans.
  • Targeting and achieving sales and revenue targets
  • Defining the requirements for key customers and setting up joint project teams to enable delivery of customized software solutions to customers.
  • Attending monthly meetings with other senior members of the business.
  • Attending industry events and conferences to generate new business leads.
  • University degree.
  • 5-7 years of sales and sales management experience.
  • Deep understanding of software technologies and software sales is required.
  • Fluent in Mandarin and good command of English.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Experience in successfully developing channels, working with partners, and selling solutions.
  • Experience in working with a western multi-national company in China.
  • Proven track record of achieving targets and driving sales growth in a business.
